What data we collect
We collect data that you provide to us directly (via contact form, enquiry form, or email) and technical data that is generated automatically when you visit our website (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time of access).
2. Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 Pine Street, Suite 603, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA. Vercel acts as our data processor. For more information, see Vercel's privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
When you visit our website, Vercel automatically processes certain technical data (IP address, access time, browser type) to provide the hosting service. This processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing a secure and functional website).
3. Contact forms and enquiries
When you use our enquiry or contact form, we process the following data: your name, email address, wedding date and any other information you provide voluntarily.
This data is used solely to respond to your enquiry and to process a potential booking. We do not share this data with third parties except as necessary to process your enquiry (e.g. our booking system provider Venvy, based in Germany).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
Retention: We retain enquiry data for up to 3 years unless a contract is formed, in which case statutory retention periods apply (up to 10 years for accounting documents).
4. Analytics and tracking
Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager (container ID: GTM-TZKQSVN6) to manage tracking scripts. Google Tag Manager itself does not set cookies. It activates other tags (see below) only after you have given consent.
Google Analytics 4
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (property G-Q7EFNWRF4Z) to analyse website usage. GA4 collects data on pages visited, session duration, and user interactions. This data is processed on Google servers, which may be located in the USA. The transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
Google Ads
With your consent, we use Google Ads for conversion tracking (conversion ID: AW-16585086558). This allows us to measure whether a visit to our website resulted from a Google ad.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
Meta Pixel and Conversions API
Provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland. With your consent, we use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook and Instagram ads. It sets the cookies _fbp and _fbc.
We additionally use the Conversions API, which sends the same events from our server. Your email address, phone number and first name are transmitted hashed only (SHA-256) — Meta never receives plain-text contact details from us. We and Meta are joint controllers under Art. 26 GDPR for the collection and transmission of this data.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). Without your consent to the Marketing category, the pixel is not loaded and no event is sent via the Conversions API.
5. Web fonts
We use Google Fonts (Nunito Sans and Playfair Display) loaded via Next.js at build time and served from our own domain. No data is transmitted to Google servers when these fonts are displayed.
6. Cookies and consent
We use a self-built cookie consent system. When you first visit our website, all non-essential cookies and tracking scripts are blocked by default (Google Consent Mode v2 with default “denied”). You can change your consent preferences at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
Essential cookies: session cookies necessary for the website to function. These do not require consent.
7. Your rights under GDPR
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
