The Villa · Heidelberg Corner
The ceremony in the garden.
A semi-enclosed garden area behind the villa. A hydrangea rondel at the centre. An old stone wall on one side, ivy on another. Gravel paths, garden chairs, a wireless microphone that carries the words to the last row.
The space
What happens here.
The ceremony spot sits about 30 metres from the main entrance. Guests walk from the cocktail reception or straight from arrival. Chairs face a simple arch — flowers, greenery, whatever the couple chooses with their decorator. The officiant stands at the arch. The couple walks between the rows.
The capacity
Up to 100 guests on garden chairs.
Rows of wooden benches or garden chairs on the gravel. The space is large enough to feel like a proper ceremony, small enough that nobody is far from the couple. A wireless microphone and two speakers carry everything clearly.
The weather question
If rain is in the forecast.
The covered outdoor area takes over as the ceremony spot — same garden visible, same open-sided feel, with a roof. We set both options from the start of planning. No decisions to make on the morning.

“We saw the corner in February and knew. Something about the old wall and the hydrangeas. We signed the contract the same day.”N. & J., July 2025
